I have been really struggling to stay motivated and keep on my running track this time around. Anyone have any tips that helps keep them motivated for their run?

Maybe a new playlist on your mp3 player? I don't always run to get my exercise...in fact I rarely do so I don't know much about motivation for that. Good luck!

1I suggest signing up for small road races. It keeps me on track, and when I finish one I always feel great. Check to see if there are local running clubs near you-it's tough to do it alone!
2I agree with anne. There's nothing like signing up for a race to make you get yourself out the door to run. Also, don't just sign up, but set a goal. So, say, you sign up for a 5K in six weeks, then make a goal of maybe finishing under 25 minutes and then find running plans (like on runnersworld.com) that will help you get to that goal.
Training schedules are always a motivating factor for me. If there's a schedule that says I have to run 4 miles today, I most likely will go just so I can put an x through it and smile!
Also, if you're not ready for road races, you could try setting a goal (maybe run 30 miles in two weeks) and then if you meet that goal, get yourself a one hour massage as a reward!
3Find a friend to run with. Or, if you don't have any friends that are interested, see if there's a running club in your area that has weekly runs. I find that the socializing and competition that comes with group runs is very motivating!
4Great tips ladies, thank you! It's just so hard to stay motivated sometimes, and I have really been running out of trick-up-my-sleeves.
5I sign up for races, then I have to run because I don't want to be embarrassed. Also, and I don't know if this is something you can do, but I bought the nike+ when I bought my new shoes- it seriously motivates me. I like going home and uploading my info and seeing how I am progressing. Also it lets you set goals, and you can see how you are doing on those. Its fun. But I am a technology dork so...
6ooh yeah, I have a GPS forerunner, same idea, just worn on the wrist. Love it too!
7everyone had great ideas... I just bought a bunch of CDs and have new music to start running too as soon as I get back at it!!!Oh yeah... and I love the GPS forerunner too that Syako mentioned. =o) Aimeesugar said RACES. another great thing.
I'm so unoriginal here.
8I just bought that pod that goes in your shoe and in your IPod Nano and it is so helpful! You can choose a male or female voice to announce your progress for each run (or walk) and Lance Armstrong congradulates you upon completion! It's only 30 dollars on Nike.com. Also I find that new running clothes make all workouts more fun
