So, I have been thinking about investing in one of those cool new running skirts. Any thoughts or comments on these? I haven't really seen anyone around here running in them but my shorts always seem to ride up a little bit
So I was thinking that the skirt might help!

I'd been wanting to try one for a while too, but they all seemed too expensive, but I found some at Target last week! They're still $30 I think, but that's still a lot less than the ones Fit's been showing us.
1I haven't seen anyone wearing them either, but my sister did a race a few weeks ago and she said she saw some girls wearing them...
I love Target!! I will have to go there this weekend and check it out. You are right, some of the skirts are so expensive! Let me know if you try one!
2Only thing I wear when I race...I actually JUST bought the Target one like, 2 hours ago lol. It's solid black with bike shorts (my others that I have are from runningskirts.com and have built-in undies instead) and is SO comfy!! It was $19.99 - to cheap to pass up, especially when my others were $48 apiece online!
3sorry - got too excited and in a hurry lol - I meant "too cheap to pass up," not "to cheap..." I'm kind of anal about grammar
4mmn.. one of my little "rules of thumb" is to never buy something half price that I wouldn't pay full price for - because too often I get home and decide I still don't like it - even at half price. I guess my point is we get what we pay for, and sometimes spending a lot of money on something I love is MUCH more cost effective than spending half as much on something I wear once and then hate.
That would be my concern with the Target skirts (though, I do love Target for nearly everything else). I just have a hard time getting my head around them providing really good quality athleticwear that I'd want to wear for 15 or 20 miles.
That said, I wear the atalanta skirt all the time and love it.
But then I've always been a sucker for good running gear. You should see my (running) shoe collection!
5I am going to buy one soon on my sister's recommendation--and THANKS for the Target tip, ladies! I've not done so to date because I'm (still) kind of a tomboy at age 33 and they seemed too girly for me. JBlondie, my sis loves hers to prevent the ride-up you're looking to avoid. It's a second-hand endorsement but I must say, my big sis has infallible taste...
